    Brief description of the role

    The Commercial Director will be accountable for the management of the commercial and property functions at the Airport.

    What do we expect you to do?

  • To ensure that sound business planning and budgeting processes are in place to support the delivery of the Business Plan, including the development and implementation of sound business appraisal techniques.
  • To support the senior management in ensuring that all major business decisions are accompanied by a detailed business case appraisal.
  • To develop reporting systems to ensure the timely presentation of business performance monitoring information to the senior management.
  • To manage the property portfolio and lead on commercial property negotiations including liaison with shareholders.
  • To manage lettings and tenants on the airport site and maximise all opportunities in order to increase the revenue of the site, and to bring new operators into the airport
  • To develop and maintain a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system and ensure compliance with the relevant data protection legislation.
  • To act as client project manager for specific development projects aimed at developing the property portfolio.
  • To develop pricing and costing policies to maximise revenue.
  • To support the senior management in the identification of business development opportunities and marketing by providing sound underpinning analysis of business opportunities.
  • Identify ways to increase the revenue generated by aeronautical and non-aeronautical activities.
  • In consultation with the senior management be responsible for all contractual negotiations, pricing and credit control.
  • Develop, control and maintain effective communication across the company.
  • To provide timely and accurate information to the senior management.
  • To perform any other duties which the senior management may reasonably require and which are commensurate with the position of Commercial Director.
  • To undertake duties in accordance with relevant acts, orders, rules and regulations.
    What will you bring along?
  • Degree level or equivalent in business, finance or estates management.
  • The successful applicant will need to display excellent communication skills with all levels, often having to work with various departments to help them plan and manage changes to the working environment, senior management.
  • Property management
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Minimum of 5 years in a commercial business environment
  • Aviation experience is an advantage
  • English is a must
